Home Prices Continue to Rise
Posted: 04.18.22
Eau Claire, WI - While inventory continues to decline, median home prices have risen 10% over the last year. With statewide average time on the market at just 79 days, it continues to be a great time to sell your home.
● March 2022 Wisconsin home sales were down 7%.
● New listings have dropped by 14.9% compared to this time last year.
Western Wisconsin is at the height of increased median price, with Trempealeau County, in particular, seeing an 80% price jump from last year.
● Eau Claire County’s median home price reached $260,000 in March 2022, over a 15% jump from march 2021.
● March western Wisconsin median home price rose 20.5% in the last year.
● Average days on the market in the Western region were down an average of 2.3% compared to March 2021.
With less supply leading into prime buying season, home sales are likely to be lower in upcoming months than in 2021, according to Scott Rohde, President of REALTORS® Association of Northwestern Wisconsin. “Moving into the busier buying season, the smaller supply of homes on the market will mean a decline in home sales from 2021, despite the overall increase in demand.”
