Eau Claire, WI - Home sales in the Northwestern region have increased as much as 61.9% in October of 2018 versus October of 2017. While the market continues to favor the seller, the colder weather may contribute to more sales as sellers may be more motivated before winter.

“I would encourage buyers who have not have been successful during the summer to keep looking for a home as we go into the colder months,” said RANWW Executive Vice President Brenda Barnhardt.

The most recent analysis of the existing home market by the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association showed that in Eau Claire County, home sales were up 19.4% overall compared to October of last year, which is above the average 6.6% increase regionally and significantly higher than overall state sales which fell 2.2%.

“As seller’s are motivated to sell before winter, now is the time to team up with a professional REALTOR® to help guide you through the buying process,” Barnhardt added.
